Founded in 2022, Beckwith Legal has grown from a solo practice into a team of legal professionals working together to represent individuals and businesses facing disputes, legal challenges, and important decisions.

Beckwith Legal was founded by James Beckwith, Esq., LL.M., whose legal experience includes insurance defense, plaintiff-side litigation, and service as an Assistant State Attorney.
His background has provided experience evaluating legal matters from different perspectives—representing defendants, advocating for injured individuals, prosecuting criminal cases, and advising individuals and businesses facing disputes and important legal decisions.
James earned his Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law and later earned an LL.M. in Excellence in Advocacy from Stetson University College of Law. His legal education also included intensive trial advocacy study through Temple University and at St. Hugh’s College, Oxford.
That range of experience continues to influence Beckwith Legal’s approach to preparation, strategy, negotiation, and advocacy.
